Why I am Optimistic That Racism Will End Someday?

In this article, the author, Jerry Locula, underscores that in addition to the irresistible global solidarity kindled against racial discrimination; constructive steps taken so far in terms of administrative and policy changes following the death of George Floyd have given him tremendous hope. According to the Social Justice Activist, even though it has been a long time coming, the notable achievements made so far, plus what he has seen in these days of George Floyd, made him believe that the world will change and racism will end, even if it takes centuries.
Historic Racism in America – George Floyd’s Remarkable Global Justice Solidarity

In the wake of ongoing protests in the United States in demand for justice in the killing of a 46-year-old black man, George Floyd, at the hands of a white police officer, a social justice activist has insisted that the protests are legitimate. Jerry Locula highlights the historical racism and mistreatment of black people in America for the last four hundred years. It looks at how policing was associated with the transatlantic slave trade in the deep South; particularly, how white men were empowered to serve as vigilantes in responding to salves who escaped or attempted to escape. The article reveals that four centuries on, the culture has existed in law enforcement and the oppression has continued against black people; and that George Floyd’s case is the straw that broke the camel’s back. In his view, Jerry Locula maintains that the time has come for change in America, because enough is enough.

Legal Corruption: the Cause of the Global Economic Crisis?
The multi-million dollar bonuses that American International Group (AIG) is handing over to nameless “executives”, after accepting billions in US taxpayer bailout money is, understandably, causing a great deal of alarm in the media and American public in general.
This massive misallocation of wealth, and the government’s inability or unwillingness to prevent it, is exposing a system of “legal corruption”. As Errol P. Mendes explains, the ability of economic elites to influence the political oversight and regulation of their activities through lobbying led directly to the current economic crisis.
Mendes concludes with a call to fiscal responsibility, a concerted effort to root out corruption (including so-called “legal corruption”), and some way to encourage ethical behaviour among elites.
